The ‘Be Patient’ Floor Lamp is a light sculpture asserting the importance of physical objects in an age of instantaneity, where images have become accepted placeholders for the real thing. Entirely made of precision milled aluminum components, the intricacy of parts and the mechanical logic of assembly references back to the tactility of analog machines. The understated design asks for an appreciation of each specific component and its function. The stacked louvers act as light shades while also regulating the temperature of the LED chips hidden underneath.
