It can be difficult to discern fact from fiction, realism from abstraction. Case in point: Although made of cast archival-cotton paper, the Nana Lure pendant fixture looks just like a natural frond, providing graceful shade and shelter much as the real thing would in the tropics. But this leaf illuminates as well, projecting a field of light below. Designed by Jean and Oliver Pelle, the romanticized facsimile hangs from a leather strap attached by brass hardware to the patinated steel spine. The hand-sculpted and -painted leaf is also available as a standing lamp.
