Pelle Looks to the Natural, Physical, and Conceptual Worlds for Three New Pieces
Mirror shards, botanical elements, and friction are all in play in the design studio’s “Unnatural Habitat” installation
“We wanted to create a light so fantastical that it looked like an illustration come to life,” Jean and Oliver Pelle tell AD PRO of their new Nana Lure lamp. However, this light is only one third of Pelle‘s NYCxDesign offering, set to be unveiled at the brand’s Flatiron showroom this Wednesday. The installation, titled “Unnatural Habitat,” riffs on the natural, conceptual, and physical worlds. The lamp, with its botanical elements, is a clear nod to nature, while the frenetic and particle-like mirror installation Dust and the solid DVN Table delve into the latter two realms…
