Sales Assistant, Full Time
PELLE is seeking a Full-Time Sales Assistant to join our team in our Red Hook Brooklyn Studio & Showroom Gallery. This position is new, full-time, and is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and work alongside a dedicated team who is passionate about creating beautiful objects that are sold all over the world.
This position is a client-facing role with involvement in all aspects of sales, administration, and customer care. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and should have prior experience with sales and customer service in a relevant field. The ideal candidate must also be highly organized, display a keen attention to detail and have outstanding problem-solving skills.
+Deliver exceptional customer service with thoroughness and care
+Provide phone and email support, answering questions about the brand, collections, pricing and lead times with accuracy and professionalism
+Assist with obtaining shipping quotes, coordinating, and scheduling client shipments
+Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Pelle products to inform clients and be able to resolve technical issues and concerns
+Pack, ship, and monitor inventory of finish samples
+Assist with processing credit card payments and generating quotes and invoices as directed
+Maintain internal systems with new client records, pricing updates, new product listings, and other pertinent updates
+Share in general upkeep and organization of the showroom gallery and office
+Assist to ensure the efficient operation of day-to-day sales office operations – opening/closing gallery and organizing gallery appointments and studio visits
+Compile and develop sales tools and marketing materials such as email newsletters and printed mailers
+Document, organize, file and record-keep sales meetings, reports and procedures
+Work productively with fellow employees to create a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and a friendly studio environment
+Report to and assist Sales Director and Owners
+Prior work experience in sales and customer service or work experience in an assistant position
+Strong interest in contemporary design
+Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+Knowledge and experience with Salesforce and Adobe Creative Suite software programs
+Excellent interpersonal skills and social etiquette
+Must be highly organized and detail-oriented in your work
+Must be able to prioritize work and multitask, be flexible and willing to learn, improve and adapt to a changing fast-paced work environment
+Physically able to lift and handle large and heavy light fixtures, up to 40lbs

Led by Jean & Oliver Pelle, we are a ten-person team of hands-on creatives that come from a variety of arts backgrounds. Our design company is committed to standards of excellence in its products and people. Working at Pelle will expose you to the various aspects of design-manufacturing as the Design, Sales, and Production team all work together in an expansive 10,000 sq ft space.

We work during business hours only and do not ask that you work evenings, weekends, or holidays. The position is full-time, 37.5 hours/week, with competitive compensation, medical/dental/vision benefits, and paid vacation/sick/holiday days. Work hours are from Mondays-Fridays, from 9am-5:30pm.
